Dreams and Visions and Pins Galore!
Okay, I am no newbie when it comes to Pinterest. I love it and have loved it since it began in 2010. That was my sophomore year of high school and it was ALL the rage to pin your dream house, wedding, family, wardrobe, etc. So creating a vision board for a class challenge was a no brainer. Also, vision boards have come a looonnnngggg way from cutting magazine pictures and making collages 😂.
Obviously at first glance, my vision board has a lot to do with classroom decor and themes because I am always looking for fresh ideas for my classroom. It gets boring to look at the same decorations year in and out, so I like to zhuzh it up every now and then (totally had to look up how to spell zhuzh!). As my sister would say, "Give it the 'ol razzle dazzle".
Then I pinned things about technology in the classroom, because I love finding new and exciting tools for my students to use. There are some pins for familiar ones like Legends of Learning and Frax Math from ExploreLearning. And then there are some that talk about using podcasts in the classroom, using Nearpod and other tools that I've not had the chance to explore.
Some of my other visions on there are taken from the challenge prompt like a dream home office (because my dream is to work from home one of these days!) and a dream job of curriculum developer/instructional designer. There are some random quotes on there too, noting some dreams that I have like traveling more and the need to drink more water (haha).
Some outlier pins would be those of my beloved Florida State. Without it, I would not be on track to achieving my dreams, so it obviously had to make the board.
Any other dreamers out there?? I am close to achieving some of mine, so let me know how close you are to yours!!
Hmm, I never thought of Pinterest like that. Honestly, I activated an account years ago on accident trying to access a regular image. Even when the challenge came up I dismissed it like another image-based tool. I already have Instagram in my life, right? You may have changed my mind.
